Executive Recruitment for a Technology Consulting firm

A global professional services firm retained us to identify and secure a Senior Partner to lead a core capability area within its Technology Consulting practice in Ireland. This was a highly strategic hire, requiring not only technical excellence and commercial acumen but also the credibility to operate at C-suite level and shape a long-term market proposition.

Approach

Given the seniority of the role and the limited talent pool at this level, the search required a discreet, precise and research-led approach. Many of the most suitable individuals were already in senior roles at competitor firms, and any outreach had to be handled with sensitivity and professionalism.


We worked closely with the firm's leadership to define the role and clarify the profile of the ideal candidate. Our team conducted in-depth market mapping across Ireland and the UK, targeting both Tier 1 consulting firms and specialist boutiques. We engaged with a carefully selected group of candidates through confidential outreach, ensuring the client’s brand and intentions were protected throughout the process.


Every shortlisted candidate was rigorously assessed across multiple dimensions – including sector expertise, leadership track record, cultural alignment and growth potential. The process also included advisory support on offer structuring and managing partner-level transitions.

Within six weeks, we delivered a shortlist of three highly qualified and motivated candidates – all sourced through direct headhunting. Our client successfully appointed their preferred candidate: a proven leader with a strong track record of delivering strategic transformation in complex environments.
